UK Anti-Doping (UKAD) is excited to welcome Natalie Powell, double Olympian and judo icon, as one of seven new members of the UKAD Athlete Commission.
Natalie brings with her over 15 years of elite sporting experience, having represented both Team GB and Team Wales on the international judo stage. A former world number one, Natalie’s dedication to clean sport is matched by her academic background — holding a BSc in Biomedical Science and an MSc in Advanced Coaching.
As a member of the Athlete Commission, Natalie will work alongside a dynamic group of athletes to ensure the athlete voice remains central to UKAD’s policies, education, and testing. Her first-hand knowledge of the pressures and values of elite competition will help reinforce the UK’s commitment to protecting clean sport.
Natalie joins a refreshed Commission that includes new members from across the sporting spectrum, bringing the total membership to 12. Together, they will support UKAD’s mission to ensure fair play and athlete welfare across all levels of sport.
To find out more about the Athlete Commission and Natalie’s new role, follow @ukantidoping on social media or visit UKAD’s official website.
