We look forward to you joining us on the three-hour BJA Safeguarding Children & Adults Course.
This will be a blended learning experience online with interactive activities. You will need to have
your camera on for the duration of this training.
Course aim & learning outcomes:
Aim: To promote best practice for safeguarding with Children & Young People and Adults within the BJA.
You must be aged 18 or over to attend this course
Learning Outcomes:
- To understand the policies, procedures and legislation which underpin our role
- To increase skills and confidence when engaging with safeguarding issues and recognising indicators of abuse
- To promote best practice in recognising, responding, referring & recording safeguarding concerns
- Understanding the impact of abuse and trauma on children
- To gain up-to-date knowledge on current issues of risk affecting Children & Young People
- To raise awareness and familiarity with BJA and local referral & reporting procedures
BJA are offering the children & adult safeguarding course as an online interactive classroom for
not just CWOs and Coaches as a validation and/or revalidation but this is open to referees, officials,
Tournament Directors etc. It’s about a space for learning and continuous professional development.
To clarify the duration of the course is 3 hours and this equates with national standards for a Level 2 Safeguarding course.
