Free Online Safeguarding & Protecting Children Workshop

Welsh Judo is pleased to share a FREE safeguarding training opportunity for coaches, delivered by Sport Wales in partnership with UK Coaching.

These online Safeguarding & Protecting Children workshops are designed to support coaches working with children and young people in sport.

Why attend?

By attending the course, coaches will:

• Identify and recognise good coaching practice and its implications
• Refresh their knowledge of safeguarding issues, including what to do — and what not to do
• Explore personal values and attitudes and how these can affect safeguarding responses
• Learn how to take appropriate action if concerns about a child arise
• Learn from experienced safeguarding tutors with real-world experience (e.g. club welfare officers, teachers, police officers)

• Cost: FREE (for coaches in Wales)
• Duration: 6.30pm – 9.00pm
• Booking: One space per booking
