This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and driven coach to lead preparations for the 2026 Commonwealth Games. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting athlete qualification, preparation, and matside coaching for judoka aiming to represent Team Wales.
Working closely with the National Coach and WJA staff, the role offers a chance to make a meaningful impact on performance outcomes at a major multi-sport event.
📍 Location: Cardiff-based with domestic and international travel
⏱️ Commitment: Approx. 1.5 days per week (flexible)
💷 Fee: £10,500 total, payable in monthly instalments
📄 Contract Type: Self-employed contract, fixed-term until August 2026
What We’re Looking For:
✔️ Level 3 BJA or UKCC/1st4Sport qualified judo coach
✔️ Working towards or holding IJF Academy UCJI
✔️ Committed to athlete wellbeing and judo values
✔️ Self-motivated and organised with strong communication skills
