At the British Schools Welsh Regional Championships last month three candidates moved from Area level to National C level as they passed their practical assessments.

Congratulations to Gareth Piper, Sandra Franks and Marc Chatterton underwent the assessment and successfully advanced.

Ashley Bowen, Assistant Welsh Judo Refereeing Representative commented, "I was delighted to see some more Welsh candidates progress. They demonstrated a good understanding of the rules and their applications. They were each able to maintain high level of safety on the mat and worked well in their respective teams to ensure the correct judoka came off the mat as the winner. I'd like to congratulate them on their achievements so far and offer my support as they now continue their refereeing journeys, making the most of the upcoming opportunities."
