It is with great sadness that the Welsh Judo Association wishes to report the recent passing of Angela Jessop.

‘Angie’ as she was known to most was a pivotal figure within Welsh Judo throughout the late 80s and 90s and many judoka across the country will have fond memories of her both as a table referee and competition controller. 
Angies involvement in judo begin through supporting her daughter Lisa Jessop, who is one of the most successful judokas in Wales.

Angie had an incredible passion for judo and always worked tirelessly to support judo in Wales. Many judoka throughout the country will remember her sense of humour and and love for judo.

Funeral details are not known at this time. All at Welsh Judo express their sincere condolences to Steve, Lisa and all of Angies family and this very sad time.
