We are all experiencing a huge amount of uncertainty across the country in relation to COVID-19. Whilst the situation is clearly much bigger than judo, we hope being part of such a positive community will help us all at this difficult time.

Our general principle as been, and will continue to be, to follow advice from Public Health Wales, Welsh Government and Sport Wales.

  • As disclosed on Monday 16th March, Welsh Judo events running in March and April 2020 are postponed until further notice.
  • Talent Cymru Full-time Academy at Sport Wales National Centre has been closed. Athletes have returned home with individual programmes to work through.
  • With the Olympic Games still going ahead at present, our Olympic Programme will continue to be supported remotely with Sport Wales practitioners.
  • Head Office in Cardiff is now closed to the public with staff working remotely from home. We are still available by phone or email and will try and minimise any disruption to operations. Post deliveries will be reduced to once a week during this period.

Please continue to follow the Government guidelines. All links can be found on our statement released on 16th March.

Thank you and stay safe.
