A note from Marc Longhurst, Welsh Judo Association Chairman
Following the successful Welsh Open for Pre-Cadets and Cadets earlier this month I am looking forward to the Welsh Closed being held in Wrexham on 27thNovember. It’s not only great to be back at competitions but also to be back on the road rotating our National Championships across Wales.
While there are still many restrictions in place, both venue and Government, which continues to impact numbers and the running of events. That said, I am confident it will run smoothly given the hard work of the WJA team in preparing for this over several months.
While holding the AGM in Cardiff on 28th November I will be in Wrexham for our National Championships and look forward to seeing you all in person. As always, I am open to hearing from you and would welcome any discussions that may help shape our strategy as we progress in to 2022 and beyond. For those unable to join the AGM please do connect with me as I am keen to hear how your return to Judo is progressing.
Thank you for your continued support and commitment to our Judo community.
Regards,
Marc Longhurst
Chair, Welsh Judo Association
