On the birthday of Princess Diana, The Diana Award unveiled this year's Roll of Honour. Diana Award recipients features young heroes from across the globe who are standing up and changing the world.

Stephanie Allen, 22, from Merthyr Tydfil, has been recognised with The Diana Award - the highest honour a young person can achieve for social action or humanitarian efforts. Established in memory of Diana, Princess of Wales, The Diana Award is the most prestigious accolade a young person aged 9-25 years can receive for their social action or humanitarian work.

Born with Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis and Scoliosis of the spine, Stephanie hasn’t let that stop her from excelling in all areas of her volunteering and career path. Stephanie is a volunteer judo coach and Child Protection Officer for ‘Adaptive Judo’ in Wales.

Passionate about raising awareness and fundraising for both children in Wales and internationally, Stephanie has increased the self-esteem of the girls she coaches, whilst developing their sense of empathy, showing parents how their children can reach their potential. Working towards Masters degree in Special Educational Needs and Additional Learning Needs she is focused on making an even greatest impact on those around her.
